Difficulty Rating:
The Burnt Platt Circular is a longer family-friendly walk (really little ones may struggle to complete the 6.0mi distance, so keep this in mind) that takes you through woodland, where fairytale-like bluebells contrast nicely with the moody trees. During wetter months, the path can get muddy, making it essential to wear proper footwear!
Getting there
To get to the start of the Burnt Platt Circular, you’ll want to head to Stoke Row and follow Stoke Row Road in the direction of the Unicorn Pub & Restaurant. Drive by the restaurant and continue until you reach a crossroad with Gallowstree Road. Cross the road, and you’ll see parking immediately after to your left.

Burnt Platt Circular Description
The Burnt Platt Circular is a longer family-friendly excursion in the Chilterns, but everyone will forget about the distance as they meander through secluded woodland peppered with bluebells! One thing to remember is proper footwear during wetter months, as sections of the path can get muddy. Setting out from the car park, you’ll begin your loop by walking toward Peppard Common. Continue following the loop in a counterclockwise direction! You’ll know you’ve reached the top of the circuit when you pass through Burnt Platt. Revel in the scenery before continuing around and making your way back to your car, where the journey began.
