Pearce Estate Park Trail Description
Starting the Pearce Estate Park Trail in the park itself is the easiest way to complete this route. You may join this trail from the Bow River Pathway, anywhere else in Inglewood, or the north side of the AB-2. So long as you are in the SE and enjoying a walk along the Bow River Pathway, you will be able to join this route.
Pearce Estate Park is a small park located in quirky and charismatic Inglewood, the oldest neighbourhood in Calgary. Whether you start or finish your route in the park, be sure to stroll into Inglewood to check out some of the many breweries, eateries, and shops. Keep in mind this is a multi-use trail, so watch out for cyclists!
From the park, head south towards 17 Ave SE, cross the Bow River, AB-2, and continue until you reach the Western Headworks Canal. Turn left, joining a trail here, and head north on the trail. Cross AB-2 and come to a junction at the Bow River. Turn left, joining the Bow River Pathway, and begin heading southbound towards 17th Ave SE again. Reach 17th, and take a right, heading back to the park. Complete a loop around the park and return to the parking area to finish your route.
The beauty of this route is that you can really make it your own by simply exploring the park itself, doing an out-and-back on the Bow River Pathway, or creating a full loop like we did. Choose your own adventure here and enjoy the cool breeze of the water on the way!
