The name Aspen conjures up visions of a perfect mountain town at the base of a legendary ski hill. This beautiful town has now become a haven for celebrities, with exceptional accommodation and restaurants. There is a lot to do in Aspen, and it is one of our favourite places in Colorado.

Aspen is surrounded by the peaks of the Elk Mountains, which provide year-round outdoor amusement for locals and tourists alike. The town is popular in winter for downhill skiing, but there is also great snowshoeing and cross-country skiing as well.

Summer has incredible hiking in the surrounding White River National Forest. You can also find great rock-climbing and fishing nearby. Famously, Lance Armstrong spends his summers in Aspen, and you may see him out on his daily road bike ride. The mountain biking opportunities in Aspen are spectacular too!

Autumn is a beautiful time of the year in Aspen, and the crisp air, autumn colours and lower crowds make this one of our favourite times of the year to come to this beautiful mountain town. Everybody should plan a vacation in Aspen!
