Innsbruck
Innsbruck has long been a popular destination for winter and summer activities. The city itself is incredible and has been dubbed the Capital of the Austrian Alps. Innsbruck is a hub where urban meets nature, where the modern and historic sit alongside each other in a beautiful equilibrium.
From Innsbruck you can set out on just about any adventure you might like – whether it is a walking tour of the city, a hike or trek through the surrounding mountains, or a day out on your skis or snowboard. Innsbruck is truly a stepping stone to adventure.
Innsbruck itself has wonderful options for accommodation, from elegant upscale hotels to lively and fun hostels with varying levels of restaurants to match. However, one of our favourite parts of a trip to Innsbruck are all the mountain huts. You can stop in for a quick bite and a bit of respite from a wonderful day outdoors or stay for a night or two. Not only can you extend your days out adventuring by sleeping in the mountains, but the food and hospitality at these huts are unmatched.
The beauty of the old and the new coming together in Innsbruck is that you can spend an evening at a mountain hut, wake up and hike along a world class trail, head into town passing incredible modern architecture, and take a walk through history at the Imperial Palace – all in a day!
There is nothing we don’t love about a trip to Innsbruck!
