Austria
Visit the Amazing Austria
Austria is renowned as a mountain playground, and a popular destination for outdoor holidays. Boasting great mountain towns, such as St. Anton, Mayrhofen, Sölden, Zell-am-See, Kitzbühel, and of course Innsbruck, Austria is a great holiday destination for both summer and winter.
While most of Austria is known for their (justifiably) famous ski areas, there is a lot more to see in this European country. In summer, a holiday in Austria can mean visiting interesting cities, exploring wonderful villages, enjoying the open road with some magnificent road cycling routes, finding amazing mountain bike trails, and of course trekking and hiking. There’s also the delicious cuisine and captivating culture, with welcoming Gasthaus hosts and charming mountain huts.
A trip to Austria in winter obviously means world-class downhill skiing. But there’s also so much more to do in Austria once the cold weather hits, with great Nordic skiing, backcountry skiing and snowshoeing. We love taking a holiday in the Arlberg in winter, with great skiing and charming villages.
Our trip guides for Austria cover holidays in Innsbruck and the Zell am See region. In Innsbruck, plan your trip to take in the highlights of this wonderful town and also explore the surrounding mountains. For the Zell am See region, our trip guide helps you plan a family-friendly holiday to the area, exploring Zell am See and Kaprun.
