Getting there
From Prince George, follow Ferguson Lake Road, and you’ll spot the lake on your left. The Ferguson Lake Interpretive Trail starts here! If you reach the fork with Pilot Mountain Road, you’ve gone too far.

The Ferguson Lake Interpretive Trail is a fun, easygoing, family-friendly adventure that gets you outside, moving, and exploring a pretty setting. The mild elevation gain gives almost all skill levels a chance to enjoy this lakefront route!
Setting out from the car park, go right to pass the fishing dock, a shattered homestead, and a boardwalk over marshland. You’ll also walk through a lush forest! It’s next to impossible to get lost here as you’ll stick to the Ferguson Lake Trail the entire time.
This lake is also a popular fishing destination—rainbow trout swim in abundance here! Lastly, the low elevation gain makes this a fun route when snow blankets the land.
