The El Dorado Park Nature Trail is a lovely adventure in Long Beach that winds through a beautifully scenic park. While out on the trail, you will follow along a meandering path that passes through the southern portion of the park, skirting around the edge of several ponds and lightly wooded recreation spaces. This is an excellent route that is suitable for all ages and skill levels, including the elderly, people with wheelchairs, and younger children.

The trailhead for this adventure can be found at the parking lot on El Dorado Park Street.

El Dorado Park Nature Trail Description
For anyone that doesn’t have the time to get out of the city but still wants to get out for some fresh air, the El Dorado Park Nature Trail is a great route that features a peaceful park atmosphere. You can also check out the nature center in the park, which features plenty of opportunities to learn about local plant and animal life!
Setting out from the parking lot, you will make your way west through the tree cover and across North lake, where you will also pass by the visitor center. From here, you will loop through the forest and follow the trail as it turns south.
After skirting around the edge of South Lake, the trail will turn back to the north and continue through the forest, offering plenty of chances to encounter wildlife, before arriving back at the trailhead where you began.
