Corral Trail Description

Shared with mountain bikers, the Corral Trail is a popular adventure destination. If you are seeking a secluded adventure, then head out in the morning to beat the crowds, or head out in the off-season. Wandering through towering pine forests adorned with granite outcrops and through meadowlands along this route. We suggest wearing layers as the weather can change on a dime! So pack plenty of water, charge your camera, lace up your shoes, and get going!

Setting out from the trailhead off Fountain Pl Road, the Corral Trail heads north along the connector route. Not long after your departure, you will reach an intersection. Here, veer right, and you will be diverted northeast along the Powerline Trail. Wander this route over Trout Creek before merging onto Corral Trail. Admire the grandeur of the looming pines and at the next intersection, take the Sierra Sidewinder up a set of intense switchbacks.

Follow this route, reconnecting with the Corral Trail before tracking the Armstrong Connector Trail to the route’s end. From here, head back the way you came back to the trailhead.
