The Wall Street and Queen’s Garden Loop is one of the most popular hikes in Bryce Canyon National Park. This circuit is popular for a reason, with stunning views at every turn that make for a fantastic display of the Utah Wilderness. On your hike along the Wall Street and Queen’s Garden Loop, you will pass by Bryce Canyon icons such as Sunrise Point, the ET Hoodoo, the Queen Victoria formation and so much more!
Getting there
From the Bryce Canyon Visitors Center, head south down Bryce Canyon Scenic Drive for 0.5mi before taking your first left onto Lodge Loop Road. Follow Lodge Loop Road for 0.5mi before taking another left onto Sunrise Point Road. Park at the Sunrise Point Parking area on the right side of the road. The Wall Street and Queen’s Garden Loop begins here.

The Wall Street and Queen’s Garden Loop is a stunning hike in Bryce Canyon National Park. Due to treacherous conditions created by winter temperatures, this trail is regularly closed for parts of the year, so be sure to check the NPS website for information about trail closures before heading out on your hike. Please be aware that this trail does have a steep descent and ascent; proper hiking footwear is essential on this route, and we suggest bringing along a set of hiking poles if you would like some extra support.
The Wall Street and Queen’s Garden Trail loops past some of the most iconic scenery in Bryce Canyon National Park. From the Queen Victoria Formation – an impressive tower resembling the Queen gazing over her rock garden – to the otherworldly slot-canyon-like landscape of Wall Street, the Wall Street and Queen’s Garden Trail will delight and amaze at every twist and turn.
To hike the Wall Street and Queen’s Garden Trail begin at the Sunrise Point Trailhead on Sunrise Point Road. Follow the path south to Sunrise Point, then take a left to hike the loop clockwise. Keep an eye out for the ET Hoodoo on your left and the Queen Victoria Formation on your right as you wind your way south. At the Navajo Loop Benchmark 1.7mi into the hike, stay straight ahead to continue towards Wall Street. Make your way northwest through Wall Street and follow the switchbacks up to a fork in the trail. At the Fork, take the middle path and then stay right at all the subsequent divides to follow the Rim Trail back to Sunrise Point.
Once you find yourself back at Sunrise Point, simply follow the familiar path back to the trailhead where you began.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why is the Wall Street Trail typically closed for 6 months of the year?
In the winter months, freezing temperatures and heavy precipitation greatly increases the risk of rockfall along the Wall Street Trail. For parts of the year, the National Park Service will close the Wall Street section of the Wall Street and Queen’s Garden Loop for visitor safety.
How hard is the Wall Street and Queen’s Garden Trail?
The Wall Street and Queen’s Garden Trail is moderately challenging with a few steep sections. We recommend this trail for lightly experienced hikers, and families with older children.

For a special experience, start this route in the wee hours of the morning to catch sunrise at Sunrise Point before heading out along the loop.
