Tapestry Arch Description
The Tapestry Arch Trail is a family-friendly adventure to a beautiful series of arches. This trail gets little shade, so make sure you bring sunscreen, a good sunhat, and lots of water. This hike can be a great way for kids to get out and start exploring the beauty that this Park has to offer. For a fun family outing: bring lunch along with you and enjoy a picnic under the shade of these stunning sandstone formations.
From the North Broken Arch Trailhead, follow the well-defined path west for 0.2mi until you reach a divide in the trail. Take a left at this junction and follow the path another 0.2mi to the Tapestry Arch formation.
Stop and rest under the shade of the arch before turning around and following the same trail back out. If you are looking to spend more time exploring this area, the Broken Arch Trail is a great loop to another stunning sandstone arch (spoiler alert: the Broken Arch is not broken). The Sand Dune Arch Trail also links up to this network of trails and can be a great additional side-quest to an afternoon exploration of Arches National Park.
