Iron Peak Trail Description
Iron Peak Trail offers views the entire way to the scenic peak, but that just means you’ll need to come prepared for an unshaded hike that’s consistently steep. This is a lightly trafficked trail despite its nice views, so enjoy it on a weekend to get away from the crowds elsewhere.
The trail starts from the road, and it’s very easy to follow. You’ll climb roughly 50 switchbacks, so settle in and just trek along, admiring the expanding mountain views. There’s a junction on the last switchback where you’ll go right to traverse the ridge to Iron Peak. From here, retrace your steps back down to the trailhead.
