Navaho Peak Hike Description
The views from Navaho Peak won’t disappoint, and you’ll definitely feel like you’ve earned them after a hefty climb. This trail is camera-worthy! Try to visit outside of peak times if you want a bit of a quieter trail.
Begin from the trailhead, hiking north into the valley between the two adjacent ridges. The trail isn’t too steep until you hit the base of Navaho Peak, so enjoy this easier section before the climbing begins. Watch for Freedom Peak on your right just before the switchbacks start, taking you up the saddle where you’ll turn right for the final ascent. From the summit, you’ll retrace your steps back to the trailhead.
Insider Hints
A high-clearance vehicle is strongly recommended for the drive to the trailhead.
