Copper River Trail Description
Wander along a beautiful river and enjoy the solitude of the forest on the Cooper River Trail. This route doesn’t offer expansive vistas, but it does provide a picturesque break in nature. Look for trout in the water and several species of birds overhead.
The hike begins from the trailhead, leading you out along the river. Stay left next to the water where the trail splits. You’ll hike up further into the forest for a bit, dipping down to the shores and then back into the trees a few times over the course of the hike. There’s plenty of river access before you reach Cooper Lake. Here, either settle in for a while or turn around and retrace your steps back to the trailhead.
