The Pentire Point Circular Walk is an ultra-scenic experience in Cornwall that will take you along the stunning coast to visit fascinating historical sites. While out walking the trail, you will head into New Polzeath and take in some lovely views of Hayle Bay, before rounding the dramatic coastal terrain along Pentire Point and visiting The Rumps, an Iron Age fort located on a uniquely shaped headland. This is a fairly quick and wonderfully scenic adventure that will be sure to create lasting memories.

Pentire Point Circular Walk Description

If you are in the mood for a pleasant walk along the stunning coastal terrain of Cornwall that will provide just the right amount of challenge and scenic views, then the Pentire Point Circular Walk is the perfect trail to get you out exploring the beauty of the coast.

Setting out from the Pentireglaze car park, you will head to the southwest along a track that cuts across the open countryside and will bring you to the edge of the village of New Polzeath. Here, you will have some incredible views along the beach looking out into Pentireglaze Haven, Hayle Bay, and the Cornish Sea further afield.

After taking in the views, you will make your way to the northwest along the rugged terrain of the coast, taking some time to enjoy the seaside views as you round the ultra-scenic lookout at Pentire Point. From here, the trail will turn to the northeast and continue along the coastal cliffs, eventually taking you out onto The Rumps, a unique twin headland that features the remains of an Iron Age Fort. After exploring the site, you will continue along the coast in a southeastern direction to arrive back at the car park where you began your journey.
