Madison Falls Trail is a very short, easy walk to a lovely cascading waterfall in Olympic National Park. At only 0.2mi and with 26ft of elevation gain, this hike is more of a relaxed walk. Add it to your adventures in the park for a beautiful view without the work.
This is one of the few trails in Olympic National Park that allows dogs, but they must be kept on a leash at all times.
Getting there
The trailhead for the Madison Falls Trail is off Olympic Hot Springs Road just inside the park boundary.

Madison Falls Trail Description
Madison Falls is a stellar sight, with a single stream of cascading water falling through a mossy forest. This falls viewpoint is incredibly easy to reach, with the trail being just a few steps long. Enjoy a quick stop with a nice reward before or after your other adventures in the park.
The Madison Falls Trail starts off the road just south of the northern park boundary. There is a parking pullout and a picnic site at the trailhead. Walk along the obvious path to the falls, which are easy to see from the viewpoint. After you’ve snapped photos and enjoyed the view, turn back and retrace your step to the parking lot.
