While out walking the trail, you will pass through some intermittent stretches of forest and enjoy views of the surrounding landscape, as you make your way around a golf course to pass by an abandoned country house. This is a great walk that can be enjoyed by walkers of all ages and skill levels.

The trailhead for the Carnfunnock Country Park Circular Walk can be found 0.5mi southeast of Ballygalley at the end of Daffodil Lane.

If you are looking for a walking route that is easy enough for the entire family to complete but still features enough interesting elements to keep everyone entertained, then you should definitely give the Carnfunnock Country Park Circular Walk a try.
Setting out from the trailhead, you will head to the south and make your way through the forest, following the path as it bends around the golf course towards the Carnfunnock Family Fun Zone. Here, you will find plenty of activities that will be sure to keep the kids busy and help them burn off some energy.
After passing by the fun zone, follow the path as it turns to the north and runs parallel to the coast, before turning to the northwest. On this final leg of the walk, you will make your way past Cairndhu House – an abandoned country house that is supposedly haunted. From here, you will continue west and arrive back at the trailhead shortly.
