The Corry’s Craig Walk is a fun adventure for the entire family that will see you climb uphill for some beautiful views across County Down, Northern Ireland. While out on the trail, you will climb uphill through a mixture of open hillside and brush in order to reach a scenic viewpoint at a rocky outcrop known as Corry’s Craig. This is a fantastic walk if you are just looking to reconnect with nature, without the hassle of straying too far from town.
Getting there
The trailhead for the Corry’s Craig Walk can be found at the northeast end of Falcon Way in Newtownards.

Featuring sweeping views across the picturesque County Down landscape, the Corry’s Craig Walk is an exceptional family-friendly excursion that will provide a small challenge for kids and an ample reward at the top of the trail.
Setting out from the trailhead at the end of Falcon Way, you will make your way to the northeast and immediately begin climbing up the hillside. The slope here is steady rather than steep, so take your time and enjoy the views as you gain elevation towards the rock formation known as Corry’s Craig.
Once there, you will enjoy sweeping views of the surrounding landscape that includes nearby farms, hills, and towns. After taking in the views, you can simply retrace your steps along the trail to return to your vehicle.
