Poldhu Cove to Kuggar Trail Description

A beautifully scenic stretch of the South West Coast Path, the Poldhu Cove to Kuggar segment will lead you around the coastal terrain of the Lizard Peninsula for some exceptional views of rocky cliffs, picturesque coves and lovely beaches. The trail here is fairly exposed to the elements, so be sure to come prepared with an extra layer or two to combat any inclement weather you may encounter. Additionally, proper boots will pay dividends on this lengthy walk.

Setting out from the trailhead at the scenic Poldhu Cove, you will head to the south to pass through Mullion Cove, before entering into the Lizard National Nature Reserve. Continuing along the coastal path, you will enjoy some spectacular views across the blue expanse of the Atlantic Ocean, as you pass by an airfield and eventually work your way around Lizard Point.

From here, the trail will turn to the northeast and traverse the undulating landscape, passing through the charming village of Cadgwith that features the Cadgwith Cove Inn, a great place to stop for some refreshments. At this point, you will continue along the shoreline until you arrive at the endpoint of the walk just outside of kuggar.
