Getting there

To get to the start of the West Wycombe, Saunderton and Bradenham Circular Walk, head to High Wycombe and follow W Wycombe Road. At the roundabout, take the first exit onto the A40. 0.4mi later, take a right onto Chorley Road, and you’ll see the car park to your right, 0.1mi after turning onto Chorley Road.

The West Wycombe, Saunderton and Bradenham Circular Walk immerses you in the Chilterns, unveiling lovely forest and countryside views. Setting out from the car park, cross Chorley Road and go straight, heading towards the Dashwood Mausoleum and St. Lawrence’s Church before skirting along Nobles Farm and going through Hearton Wood. You’ll know you’re at the top of the loop when you reach Saunderton. The circuit starts to make its way around, heading in the direction of Park Wood and Bradenham. Near the end of your loop, be sure to stop at the Hellfire Caves. You’ll have to veer off the designated route just slightly, but it’s worth it. After, continue to make your way back to your car.
