Getting there
To get to the start of the Lane End, Skirmett and Fingest Circular from High Wycombe, follow along the A40 and stay on it until turning left onto Chipps Hill. Continue along this road, which eventually becomes Bolter End Lane before taking a right onto Marlow Road followed by a super quick left onto Fingest Lane. Drive along Finest Lane, which veers to the left after The Chequers Inn, and head towards Skirmett, where you’ll find parking at The Frog.

The Lane End, Skirmett and Finest Circular walk unveils a montage of varied scenery: woodland, open fields, with wildflowers adding a nice contrast to the views. From The Frog, with your back facing the pub, head to the left before heading right after about 262ft of walking. This marks the start of your loop! From here, you’ll walk in the direction of Lane End, passing through a mixture of woodland and fields en route. Lane End marks the top of your circuit. After, you’ll make your way towards Fingest. Expect to traverse more open fields than woodland on this section. Continue making your way back to Skirmett, ensuring you enjoy some refreshments at The Frog upon your return!
