Hambleden to Skirmett Circular Description
The Hambleden to Skirmett Circular takes you through the Chilterns but avoids paths intersecting with cows and horses. You will spend a significant time meandering along the pavement, but the village lanes are quiet and offer countryside views. You will ascend two steeper hills, but the vistas from the top make the momentary pain worth it. From the car park, you’ll head north, embarking on your first steep climb and passing through woodland towards Frieth. Circle around, heading in the direction of Skirmett. On your way back, pass through Hatchet Wood and meet up with the start of your loop. From here, you’ll head back to the Stag & Huntsman the way you came, as this is a lollipop route. Make sure to enjoy a post-walk lunch!
