Wilverley Inclosure Trail Description
Whether by foot or by bike, the Wilverley Inclosure is a user-friendly path through mature forests and new growth woodlands that is mostly flat, except for a few steeper areas. Starting from the Wilverley Inclosure Car Park, pass the Scout Camp gate and walk about 100m until you reach a fork in the path. Head straight – don’t turn left at the fork. In about 1.5km, you’ll see a trail marker with green and yellow stripes, which is where you turn left (if you reach a sign for the Wilverley Scout Campsite, you’ve gone too far and need to double back).
You’ll soon come across a wooden bench dedicated to Josephine Collins and turn right onto a gravel path. This takes you to a small loop to the historic Old Station Tea House on Station Road, a great spot to have a cup of tea and a snack. You’ll follow the path until you reach a 5-bar wooden gate, where you turn right. Soon you’ll walk along a small gravel path under the A35 and walk towards the road, where you’ll go over a stile. After your break at the team house, you return the same way to the main route and head right to follow the path back towards the starting point at the car park.
