Griffith Woods Park is located at the southwest edge of the city, making it feel like you have completely escaped. The park is full of intertwining trails and this route circles the entire park, offering a great overview of what the park has to offer. The trail is made up of easy, minimal elevation on a clear trail.
Getting there
To get to Griffith Woods Perimeter Loop Trail, travel westbound out of the city, joining AB-8. Follow AB-8, taking exit 26 for 69 St SW towards Discovery Ridge Blvd. Turn right onto Discovery Ridge Blvd SW and continue to the roundabout, taking the second exit to stay on Discovery Ridge Blvd SW. Turn left onto Discovery Ridge Link SW to the Griffith Woods Park parking lot.

Griffith Woods Perimeter Loop Trail Description
There are many trails at Griffith Woods Park, but the Griffith Woods Perimeter Loop Trail is the best way to explore the park. This trail is well-signed, easy to follow, and can be hiked in either direction. Our route follows a clockwise direction starting southwest of the parking lot. Enjoy tree cover, glimpses of the river, and possible wildlife sightings. Follow the clear trail to Discovery Ridge Blvd SW and continue on back to the parking lot.
It’s easy to extend your walk here by following the many intersecting trails in the area. There are countless bridges, riverbanks, and tree-lined trails to explore. We recommend taking a photo of the posted trail maps if you plan to explore to help you find your way back.
