The Windmill Hill is a short walk that boasts beautiful views of the countryside and South Downs National Park. The length makes it a great walk to bring your dog along on and it is rarely muddy. There are some kissing gates to navigate, so ensure you wear proper footwear.
Getting there
To get to the Windmill Hill Walk from Alton, head northeast on Normandy Street toward Victoria Road. At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto Orchard Lane and continue onto Drayman's Way. At the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto Lower Turk Street and turn right. Continue onto Windmill Hill and arrive at your destination in 0.2mi.

The Windmill Hill Walk is a spectacular short stroll along the countryside that is perfect for a day out with your dog. Beginning at the Salisbury Close, you will follow the well-signed path, which will take you through multiple kissing gates and along the corpse. Follow along the path through multiple stiles and gates and take in views of the South Downs National Park.
You will wander through beautiful lavender fields in the summer months and continue to follow along the path until you reach the area where you began.
